Liquid soap …

July 28th, 2004 · No Comments

Hey, Everyone!
I would love to buy that book about liquid soapmaking. I will have to check
it out. Thanks for telling us about it! Sounds like you’re having fun with
your soapmaking! It all seems difficult at first, I think, and there are
those moments where you just want to quit, but you just have to press on! :-) I’ve tried making liquid hand soap and shower gel, and both times it worked
out well, but mine were just very simple recipes. The shower gel that I
made, I used an unscented shampoo base and added some sweet almond oil, some
water, and some watermelon fragrance oil — it turned out pretty well, but
the consistency was more like bubble bath than shower gel. The fragrance was
great, though. Real summery! I also made some spearmint-scented hand soap
one time for our bathroom. I used a liquid shower gel base (with pearly mica
flakes in it!) and added some water and spearmint flavor oil. The scent was
amazing! Anyway, those are my experiences — I’m very much a newbie.
Anxious to hear how your project turns out! Keep us posted!
