Goat Milk MP

August 18th, 2007 · No Comments

I’ve seen a recipe posted a few times in different places for adding goat
milk to a MP base, to make goat milk soap. The recipe I’ve seen calls for so
much goat milk to be added, I don’t see how it could ever dry out before it
went rancid. You aren’t adding more than 1 tablespoon of […]

Edible massage oil

August 18th, 2007 · 2 Comments

Vegetable glycerin + flavoring to taste. Be sure to get water based flavors,
the oil based ones - like the Wilton’s candy flavors at Wal-Mart, won’t mix
well with the glycerin.

Linen water/spray

August 18th, 2007 · No Comments

Hi everyone:
My massage therapist made me several spray bottles of scented water.
I vaguely remember her telling me how she made them, but now I’ve had
them for quite awhile and they are still doing well! My Aunt
yesterday asked me if I could make some for her, and I would like
some sort of recipe. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Andrea

stearic

June 28th, 2007 · No Comments

Sounds like stearic acid used as one of the ingredients in the soap. There’s
a little stearic acid in most oils, generally more so in oils which are
solid at room temperature. Palm oil is a common source for stearic acid (aka
palm stearic, vegetable stearic), but not the only source. It’s used as a
hardener in candles and […]

Honeysuckle

June 18th, 2007 · No Comments

I have a lot of honeysuckle blooming right now. I’m thinking of infusing
them in some oil. Am I right in thinking this will work best with flowers at
their peak? Any insight appreciated. I’m not much of an infuser.
