Most flowers and herbs will turn brown when added to soaps. I am not sure if
it is the heat or the ingredients of the soap that do it. Of the herbs I
use, chamomille is the only one that didn’t turn brown. (lemon grass may hold
its
color but I can’t remember) The rest listed below do, oh and I only do
rebatch, so that is were my experience comes from.
Lavender
Rosemary
White Sage
Rose petals

The bit of reading I did gave me conflicting information. One piece
