Grainy cream
December 29th, 2006 · 1 Comment
Hi,
I posted a few days ago and wanted to know if anyone might know why my
perfume/body creams get grainy when they are solid. I use coconut oil 76,
sweet almond oil, aloe vera oil, white bees wax and fragrance oil.
When the cream melts on the skin the grainy texture disolves. I have
massage therapists asking me why it’s […]

Adding dry flowers
December 28th, 2006 · No Comments
Most flowers and herbs will turn brown when added to soaps. I am not sure if
it is the heat or the ingredients of the soap that do it. Of the herbs I
use, chamomille is the only one that didn’t turn brown. (lemon grass may hold
its
color but I can’t remember) The rest listed below do, oh […]

For me, the whole point of adding essential oils to massage oils is for
their therapeutic effect more than their scent. Fragrance oils on the other
hand are usually a combination of dozens of different chemicals and may be
harmful in massage oils when applied over large areas of skin. I personally
wouldn’t consider using them in this way.
Hope […]

Any does or do nots for adding dried flowers to melt and pour base?
The bit of reading I did gave me conflicting information. One piece
said there was a danger of them turning brown?
Thanks,

ISO gel/cream deoderant container
December 26th, 2006 · No Comments
First, let me apologize for the cross post. I haven’t seen this type
of container before, but if I can find one, I’d LOVE to buy at least
several. I’ve got a recipe that is a natural cream deoderant. Not
antiperspirants in it, but as just a deoderant, I’ve been quite happy
with it. I just hate having to […]

Hi
What other preservative systems are available that *do not* contain
parabens and urea?
Many thanks in advance for your help.
